MARCELO COELHO · AVEIRO, PORTUGAL

From engineering
to delivery.

I like making things work.
The product. The production. The people around it.

Electrical engineer. Former co-founder.
Hands-on in industrialisation and operations.

People + suppliers, all the way through.

01 / WHAT I DO

The gaps are often
between the parts.

A design needs to be built. A supplier needs clear requirements. A team needs a process that works on the floor. That is where I spend my time.

01

Prepare products for production.

New product introduction, assembly requirements, test planning and engineering changes.

02

Make the operation work.

Layouts, workstations, equipment choices and the flow from receiving parts to shipping products.

03

Connect the people doing the work.

Developers, manufacturing partners and production teams. Clear requirements, practical decisions and follow-through.

02 / A FEW EXAMPLES

Real work.
Something to show for it.

A few pieces of my experience, with the context that matters.

1,000 rack-mounted units

Assembly to shipment. Three months.

Led the assembly and shipment of 1,000 units in 2021/22. That period helped make the case for a dedicated assembly and logistics operation.

ASSEMBLY · COORDINATION · DELIVERY

2022 a dedicated operation

From a layout to a working floor.

Designed and implemented the assembly layout, workstations and logistics flow. Planned the setup with an initial €50,000 equipment and infrastructure budget. The layout remained in use until higher volumes called for changes in 2026.

LAYOUT · EQUIPMENT · LOGISTICS

50,000+ payment terminals

A product delivered at scale.

At HFA, managed production and delivery of Bluetooth payment terminals for the Swiss TWINT rollout, working across assembly, programming and testing.

CUSTOMER PROJECTS · PRODUCTION · TESTING

03 / THE PERSON BEHIND THE WORK

Engineer by training.
Builder by experience.

I co-founded Código Coerente in 2017 and ran its daily operations. Building a business meant dealing with the whole picture: customers, suppliers, costs and the next delivery.

I sold my stake in 2022 and stayed with the business. Today, I lead industrialisation at Brightstuff, working with developers and manufacturing partners in Portugal, Spain and China.

I am curious about engineering that has a useful place in the world. I am based in the Aveiro region and open to conversations about roles, projects and ideas worth exploring.

worth building?

A role, a project or simply a good question.
Tell me a little about it.

This is my personal page. I consider opportunities individually.
